Terumo Europe

Terumo Europe is the EMEA headquarters of Terumo Corporation, the Japanese medical products group founded in 1921 by Dr. Kitasaburo Kitasato and a group of medical scientists. Established in 1971, the division employs 1,411 associates across 23 locations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and reported net sales of €839.4 million in fiscal year 2023.

The company's work centres on minimally invasive medical technologies - treating serious cardiovascular and other conditions through interventional procedures rather than open surgery. Its portfolio spans interventional cardiology devices for the diagnosis and treatment of coronary artery disease and other vascular conditions, interventional oncology devices, peripheral intervention devices for peripheral artery disease, and cardiovascular surgery products. It also supplies injection and infusion therapy products and diabetes care products and services.

Manufacturing takes place among other sites at a facility in Heverlee, Belgium, which has been named a "Factory of the Future" in recognition of its manufacturing excellence.
