Balt Group develops physician-inspired neurointerventional medical devices for the treatment of stroke, aneurysms and other neurovascular diseases, and is expanding into peripheral vascular interventions. Founded in 1977, the company introduced one of the world's first neurovascular intervention devices and now describes its offering as the broadest neurointerventional portfolio in the industry. Its products include the SILK flow diverter stent and the Catch thrombectomy device for clot removal in stroke and neurovascular intervention.

Technical work spans neurointerventional devices, flow diverter stent technology, thrombectomy devices, peripheral vascular devices and broader medical device development. The company employs 1,000 professionals across 16 global sites, with more than 45 years of continuous operation behind its current engineering and clinical programmes.

Balt states that its innovation is guided by close collaboration with the clinical community and by responsive relationships with physicians and customers. The company sets out four core values: being determined in pursuit of innovation, responsive to physician needs, committed to overcoming challenges together, and bold in pushing boundaries. It reports maintaining the highest ethical, scientific and clinical standards, with a mission-driven focus on patient care, and describes its culture as creative and inclusive.
